B&Q expands Deliveroo reach and launches TradePoint Express
TradePoint members gain two-hour delivery through Gophr as B&Q extends its Deliveroo service to more than 100 stores nationwide.

B&Q has extended its Deliveroo service to more than 100 stores nationwide and introduced a separate same-day delivery operation for trade customers, offering materials within two hours.
The trade service, called TradePoint Express, uses courier platform Gophr and covers 123 participating B&Q stores across the UK, alongside the standalone TradePoint branch in Barking. Retail Gazette reported the developments on 15 October.
What happened
TradePoint members can choose between delivery within two hours and a booked two-hour window later the same day. Orders for the service are arranged through TradePoint business development managers.
The Deliveroo expansion serves a different shopping route, making more than 9,000 home improvement products available with delivery times starting at 35 minutes. The larger store network follows a trial that B&Q described as successful.
The two services therefore have distinct arrangements: TradePoint Express combines membership and manager-arranged deliveries, while the wider consumer offer operates through B&Q’s existing Deliveroo partnership. The 35-minute delivery time applies to the Deliveroo offer, rather than the new trade service.
The background
B&Q began working with Deliveroo in 2024. Demand for quick access to products for urgent repairs and late changes to DIY projects has supported the partnership’s expansion.
The retailer has also introduced Marketplace Click + Collect, enabling customers to collect products sold by third-party marketplace sellers from its stores. That adds a collection option alongside the faster delivery services.
Parent company Kingfisher has made growth in trade sales and digital operations priorities. TradePoint generated £935m of sales in the year to 31 January, an increase of 5.2%, and represented 23.5% of B&Q’s total sales.
For firms that use vans to collect supplies, transport costs provide a separate consideration. A recent assessment put the annual increase in van fuel costs at £671, although B&Q has not quantified any customer savings from its new delivery service.
What people are saying
B&Q supply and logistics director Amélie Gallichan-Todd presented the Deliveroo expansion as a way to widen customers’ shopping choices and improve the speed and convenience of obtaining products.
TradePoint director John Morgan focused on working time, saying the new service was intended to reduce materials-collection trips so tradespeople could devote more time to their jobs.
Vehicle availability is another operational issue for those businesses: the AA has put van downtime costs at £1,172 a day. That is a separate measure of disruption, not an estimate of the benefit from TradePoint Express.
What happens next
TradePoint Express is expected to reach further locations later in 2026. The report does not identify the next participating stores or give individual opening dates, so the stated coverage remains the Barking branch and 123 B&Q stores.
Why this matters
For trade business owners, the new service offers an alternative to leaving a job to collect materials, with a choice between rapid delivery and a booked window. Access depends on TradePoint membership and participating locations, with bookings handled through business development managers. For B&Q and Kingfisher, the launch supports a trade operation already generating £935m in annual sales, while the Deliveroo expansion addresses consumer demand for urgent repair supplies.
